Pre-existing Conditions Policy Pre-existing conditions are not covered.

However, they may no longer consider a condition to be pre-existing if your pet has been cured of it and without treatment for it or symptoms of it for 180 days, with the exception of "knee and ligament conditions".

Based on their sample policy, their definition of 'ligament and knee conditions' is "..Conditions involving a ligament, the meniscus, the patella or soft tissue issues of the knee."

According to their sample policy on their website, a pre-existing condition is an "...Illness, disease, injury, or change to your pet's health that first occurs or shows symptoms before coverage is effective or during a waiting period. This includes conditions that are related to, secondary, or resultant from a pre-existing condition."

Bilateral Conditions Policy They will not cover a "ligament and knee condition" if ANY "ligament and knee condition" occurred before your policy effective date or during the waiting period. For example if a dog has been diagnosed with a cruciate tear in their left knee before the effective date or during the waiting period, a cruciate tear in the right leg will not be covered. Even if it happens after the waiting period.

Based on their sample policy, their definition of 'ligament and knee conditions' is "..Conditions involving a ligament, the meniscus, the patella or soft tissue issues of the knee."

It is not clear if there are any other bilateral conditions that fall under this exclusion.
